Finger info for geckof@igl01.igloocafe.xyz...

Soo, seems like this is my first post here.
Hello!

I always wished with having an finger server a la old-school here on Igloo Cafe, and finally I could do it.
Finding a "finger daemon" (or a finger server for non-techies) that met my needs was impossible, until I remembered about IcculusFinger (because I used to read eukara's website on icculus.org lol) and decided to install it here. I thought it wouldn't work (since this software hasn't been updated in years) but quite the opposite, and it's running without issues on my Raspberry Pi 3B+ with Debian 12 along with a Rathole tunnel.
The web interface is simply another separate script that can be dropped into any directory on a web server along with "fcgiwrap" to make it work.
I will try to write a tutorial on how to install this soon. Maybe here in another .plan or on my homepage.

By the way, I take this opportunity to show you some advancements I have made on Igloo Cafe in the last 3 months:
* IglooChat IRC is now back, once again. Come join us @ igl01.igloocafe.xyz (6667 or 6697 for TLS).
* The user listing avatars are no longer loaded directly from PHP and are now processed from a bash script along with a small cronjob to run every 1 hour. My poor RPi was suffering with so much CPU overhead processing the images with ImageMagick so I opted for a different technique.
* The igloocafe.xyz email is now back, woo! (but it's no longer running from this server tho).
* I added some new maps on some Igloo Arena gameservers and also some Old School Rally music on the HLRally server.
* The Igloo Cafe Gallery @ https://gallery.igloocafe.xyz/
* The Raspberry Pi 3B+ I bought recently after so many years of wanting one. Currently using for hosting this finger server and for the users igloos.
* The VPS which is now hosted under Crunchbits. Very good prices for what they offer!
And other stuff I'm planning to post on the BBS rather than here.
